Modeling a spoon may seem simple, but it’s a great way to explore the power and versatility of Designer’s toolset. In the tutorial video below, we walk through the entire process step-by-step, demonstrating how a range of modeling tools come together to create a clean, functional design. Whether you’re new to Designer or looking to
The Keyhole tools allows keyhole slots to be configured and placed.
Conform Vector makes vector geometry conform to any rastered surface.
The Smart Spline tool allows you to quickly define a shape by placing points, or vertexes, along a path, while on-the-fly designating the segments between as either lines or curves.
The trim tool allow you to trim paths between selected vector geometry.
Offset Path allows you to create a path offset at a specific distance from any vector geometry.
Copy Array allows you to create multiple copies of an item in both the horizontal and vertical directions.
The Centerline Text feature adds an additional Rout Mode in the Text Tool feature. This feature uses the 60° and 90° V-groove bits to follow the center of the letters for a clean engraved, v-cut look. The depth of the centerline is determined by the width of the text selected.
The Extrude tool allows a profile to be extruded along the inside of a closed vector shape. The angle of the extrusion can be adjusted by setting horizontal, vertical, or setting a custom angle.
