The connection on the Z-truck is for the older series CompuCarve machines (about 8,000 and below). The new machines plug directly into the connector located in the left side of the cover. If the machine completes the scan and yet the scan is of poor quality, it usually means that the scanning probe has an intermittent short or disconnect. Use the Probe State sensor check menu to see if there is a bad cable connection or if there are “dead” spots when you deflect the probe tip
